Scanning objects and using them in SB Notebook

If youve scanned a document and then tried to insert the scanned image into a Notebook file to use on your SMART Board (SB) you may have found that doing anything on that page is real slooowww. Writing, moving objects, or even scrolling down that page is just too slow. Drats you say!

But, theres a better way: using floating tools!

Once youve scanned the image with a scanner, go back to your PC where there is a SB attached so that you can use the Floating Tools (they are only available on a computer with a working SB attached). Now, instead of inserting the jpeg file directly into Notebook, use the floating tools: Capture Area icon to capture the scanned image to a Notebook file. You do this by finding and opening the scanned image file, then use the Capture Area tool and drag a box around the part of the image (or the whole thing) and let go it will automatically insert the image in a new notebook file or the one you have open already.

Using the Capture Area tool makes the page work speedy and writing, moving objects and scrolling works like a charm.

Regards,

Mason
